When serving Homemade Combination Foods as a meat/meat alternate you must have recipes that show each food item in the dish, the amount of ingredients for each food item, and the number of children the recipe serves. Homemade combination foods are single dishes that contain food items from multiple food groups. This includes items such as chicken salad, burritos, casseroles, and lasagna. Your monitor may ask for your recipes during site visits. Meals may be denied if you serve an item that requires a recipe but you do not have the recipe on file.
